At Social Walkers, we deeply value your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how your personal data is collected, used, and protected when you use our mobile application and website.

2. Data We Collect

To run the weekly service and match you into compatible walking groups, we collect the following information:

• Profile Information: Your name, email address, phone number, birth year, gender, spoken languages, bio, interest tags, and profile photo.
• Location Data: Approximate and precise location coordinates to show nearby walking routes, verify your active zone, and confirm you are at the meetup spot on Sunday.
• App Performance: Performance data and crash diagnostics (via Sentry) to fix bugs and improve app stability.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your collected data for the following purposes:

• Group Matching: Using our algorithm to match you into compatible groups of 5 based on shared interest tags, languages, and social energy.
• The Saturday Reveal: On Saturday at 6:00 PM, revealing your first name, bio, photo, and interests only to the 4 other matched participants in your group.
• Communications: Delivering push notifications for reminders, reveal announcements, and transactional system emails.

4. Data Sharing & Security

We do not sell your data or share it with third-party advertisers. All data is encrypted in transit and stored securely on cloud servers (Supabase). Profile photos are stored securely, and location details are only queried when using the map services.

5. Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app's **Settings** menu. Once deleted, all personal profile records, photos, and historical walking groups are permanently removed from our active database.
